Therapeutic Massage Centre was born out of a heartfelt desire to help people reduce pain and stress — a passion that traces back to Ted’s high school days. It all started in a classroom where his teacher encouraged students to give each other shoulder massages to ease tension. Ted’s technique quickly became a favorite, planting the seed for what would one day become his life’s work.

Though Ted once dreamed of becoming an actor, his path took a transformative turn after a simple yet impactful moment — spotting a bumper sticker that read, “Support Ethical Massage.” Intrigued, he enrolled in a 3-hour introductory massage course at the Atlanta School of Massage. That single class sparked a newfound calling, and Ted dove headfirst into his education, balancing his studies while working as a massage therapist. In February 1987, he proudly graduated, fully equipped to begin his journey.

In 1991, Ted took a bold step by purchasing Therapeutic Massage Centre. Over the years, he has worn many hats — teaching massage classes, mentoring interns, managing a thriving practice, and ultimately curating the warm, welcoming clinic that stands today.
